Resumen
La revolución científica fue sin duda uno de los movimientos más importantes para la evolución cultural del hombre, Copérnico fue un precursor de ésta aportando nuevas ideas a su época, que aunque fueron propuestas anteriormente poco éxito tuvieron. El presente artículo biográfico ofrece una pequeña perspectiva sobre la vida y obra de Nicolás Copérnico vista desde su casa y ciudad natal, Torun; en este trabajo se reflejan algunas de las principales vivencias que marcaron la vida del científico y la forma en que su conocimiento impactó sobre otras personas no solo de su época si no muchos años después y que a la fecha son estudiadas.
Abstract
The Scientific Revolution was without a doubt one of the most important movements for the cultural evolution of mankind. Copernicus was a precursor to this period of time, contributing theories that had been merely ideas before, but not alltogether accepted. The present biographical article offers a new perspective on the life and work of Nicolas Copernicus, seen from his native city, Torun. This essay will reflect on some of the principal life events of this scientist, and the manner in which his work has impacted, not only in his time, but many years after and to this day are still considered.
